This Week in Math - Solving Systems Using Elimination.

Today the students will have time to finish their tests from yesterday.  If the students are finished they will be completing a series of technology tasks. 

They will have the opportunity to earn some extra credit by completing their Khan Tasks.  They can earn 5 points extra credit and $5 per module completed.

Finishing Their Big Boards and Nova Documentary

Today the students will be finishing their Big Boards in class.  If they finish they may turn it in at the end of the period.  If not they will all be due on Wednesday.

For the students who have finished their Big Board they have the opportunity to earn an additional $15 Robby Dollars by completing the Worksheet that goes with the documentary.  The NOVA documentary will be playing in the background while the students are finishing their Big Boards!

This week the students have been reviewing Solving Equations with One, None, or Infinite Solutions and Solving Systems of Equations using Substitution.

They are working through 18 problems of their choice from their worksheets.  Below are examples we went through in class together.  They are allowed to use the examples as part of their 18 problems.

Charlies Delightful Lights - Putting our new knowledge to work finding Equations!

Today the students are going to be finding the equations of lines based upon the patterns created to light up different colors of lights.  They are going to be using their Slope Equations, Intuition, and Math Skills in this task.
